Foundation Associate

SpiriTrust Lutheran is now hiring a Full Time Day Foundation Associate at HOC Corporate Office in York, PA.

Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in related field of study preferred.

Skill(s): Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as a team; enthusiasm for the organization’s mission and a passion for philanthropy; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with donor database management preferred; attention to detail and accuracy; and a valid driver’s license.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in related positions normally required; business events coordination experience preferred.

Essential Duties

  • Assist in strategy planning and achieving goals:

    • Participate in strategy and planning meetings as requested

    • Review and collaborate with the Vice President of Philanthropy (VP) to manage, track, and report on results; implement any necessary changes or updates

  • Ensures and promotes the accuracy and integrity of the work of the Foundation:

    • Assists in management of confidential, electronic (or hard copy) records of financial and in-kind donors, their giving histories, and other information

    • Participate in development of best practices and documentation in maintaining accurate records

    • Execute data integrity projects including, but not limited to, returned mail, address updates, merge and inactivation process

    • Manage quality control for data entry, constituent information management, and data imports

    • Investigate and resolve data and reporting inconsistencies

  • Plays a key role in ensuring the support of the Foundation goals in the following ways, but not limited to:

    • Research and identify potential donors and funding opportunities

    • Build and maintain relationships with new (onetime under $500) and mid-level donors (year-to-date gift total under $500)

    • Assists with donor stewardship and communications

    • Assists with fundraising activities and events

  • Providing administrative support to the Foundation staff:

    • Assists in processing donation and gift acknowledgements

    • Assists to prepare and distribute year-end giving statements and other donor communications

    • Provides assistance for the production and printing of invitations, programs, appeals, stewardship materials and other documents

    • Assists in monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliation processes and reports

    • Periodically creates, prepares, and executes reports for the VP and other groups as requested
